ZegnArt is an entity articulated through the activity of the Ermenegildo Zegna Group within the contemporary cultural arena.
The denomination ZegnArt branches various international projects realized by the company in the field of contemporary visual arts, in collaboration with curators, cultural institutions and organizations.
Conceived as an independent entity but, at the same time, complementary and continuous to the Foundation's activity, ZegnArt aligns itself with a family and entrepreneurial tradition that goes back to founder Ermenegildo Zegna. It is based upon the company's intense participation in each phase of a project's conception and in the realization of single initiatives, with the objective of animating a two-fold cycle that creates a meeting point between two worlds—that of the company and the culture at-large.
ZegnArt is born out of Gruppo Ermenegildo Zegna's conviction toward investing in culture, which signifies an investment in human capital of information and knowledge, in social capital of relations and trust, and symbolic capital of identity and recognizability. An instrument which generates new thought, creates connections and occasions for dialogue among diverse speakers, both in and outside the company, producing values shared collectively and internally, in Italy and abroad.
ZegnArt is divided into three macro-areas, each characterized by a specific mission, field of intervention and curatorial framework:
- Art in Global Stores
- Special Projects
This tripart structure allows for the identification of specific aspects in each section, offering their reading to the public, while highlighting differences between them. Within these areas, Gruppo Zegna underscores its commitment in the visual arts via a network of diverse actions and directions, as well as the expression of a unique and coherent project vision.
